NYC DANCES is a dance-film series whereby director Ann Robideaux asks anyone and everyone to dance for the camera in NYC public spaces.
NYC Dances has been screened in Sternberg Park via Cinema Parque/MovieHouse, The Outlet Dance Festival and local galleries in NYC and NJ. Screenings are ideally free to the public and are updated annually.

About the director: Ann Robideaux is a choreographer and dance-film-maker. Current projects include publicity and documentary filming for Rave de la Danza in Rosario, Argentina as well as a film series entitled “NYC Dances” which is screened annually in NYC. Ann has choreographed for artistic and commercial productions through out the world including: Merce Cunningham Theater (NYC), Judson Church (NYC), Dixon Place (NYC), Chashama (NYC), The Lab (San Francisco), Contemporary dance festival of Tulsa (OK), Contemporary Dance Festival of Moscow (Russia), The American Dance Festival (Duke Univ, North Carolina), The Outlet Dance Festival (NJ), Cinema Parque (NYC), Moviehouse (NYC), 3rd Ward (Brooklyn), DNA (NYC), Rave de la Danza (Argentina), NPR, MTV Internacional (Latin America) amongst others. She is also a certified kundalini yoga teacher, runs programs in kids yoga and teaches dance and choreography regularly.
